Kevin Crowsyn is a strategic communications leader, adjunct professor, entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, and U.S. Army veteran. With more than two decades of experience across the military, nonprofit, academic, and private sectors, he combines real-world leadership with forward-thinking strategy to drive innovation and meaningful organizational change.

At Crowsyn Creative LLC, which he co-founded with his wife, Kyla, Kevin serves as Chief Strategist and helps lead a boutique marketing agency that supports organizations through strategic marketing, content, digital optimization, and emerging technologies.

He is also a public speaker whose work focuses on strategic communication, innovation, digital transformation, and organizational change. Kevin has spoken for organizations and at conferences including the Public Relations Society of America, National Association of Government Communicators, Military Influencer Conference, Social Media Strategies Summit, Shriners International, University of Florida, Veterans Social Summit, and others.

Throughout his military career, Kevin pioneered digital transformation efforts within U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), co-authoring two doctrinal publications and leading the Army’s first large-scale digital recruiting initiative. His contributions earned recognition from USAREC Commander LTG Johnny Davis, who described him as “one of the organization’s single most influential figures of the past decade.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kevin served as First Sergeant of Orlando Medical Recruiting Company, where his digital-first strategy helped the organization make Army history as the first medical recruiting company to rank #1 in the nation for three consecutive years. He was personally commended by the U.S. Army Surgeon General for his leadership. His Army career spans 2001–2027, culminating at the rank of First Sergeant after 25 years of service. His retirement honors include the Legion of Merit, one of the U.S. military’s senior personal decorations, awarded in recognition of exceptionally meritorious service and sustained leadership.

Kevin is an adjunct professor in West Virginia University’s graduate Integrated Marketing Communications program, where he teaches Emerging Media and the Market. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, where he developed and teaches Military Strategic Communication, a graduate course examining communication strategy through the unique challenges and lessons of the military environment.

A graduate of the University of Florida with an M.A. in Mass Communication, Kevin founded and served as the inaugural President of the University of Florida Association of Military Alumni. His leadership and contributions to the UF alumni community earned him the 2024 Inclusive Leadership Award for Industry Achievement and the 2025 Leader of the Year Award.
