Natasha Ward is a casting director and CSA member with more than 70 credits across feature film, television and the web-series circuit. She began in 2004 on the 20th Century Fox feature Fat Albert and has since cast hundreds of actors globally, including Brotherly Love, The Perfect Match and Kicks. She has been featured in The New York Times and Essence, and has spoken at LA Tech Week, the American Black Film Festival, Martha's Vineyard Film Festival, the Urban Film Festival in Miami, SAG-AFTRA Foundation and Film Independent. What she looks for is confidence, an it factor, passion, dedication and preparation, never a hunger for fame, and she routinely casts against type. She separates a difficult first impression from the talent underneath it, and she believes an audition gives an actor hope to keep going even when the role is unlikely. She also produces, coaches actors, and speaks on how to start an acting career before the industry's noise gets to you, why you should not wait to be discovered, and how to reinvent yourself without starting over.
