Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Stages platform (“Service”) operated by Stages (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Stages is a speaker operating system that helps professional speakers manage their public profiles, discover speaking opportunities through AI-powered scouting, generate AI-drafted pitches, submit pitches to call-for-proposals (CFP) platforms via an AI submission agent (with your explicit approval), track their speaking pipeline, collect and display verified audience feedback, and access educational content through Stages Academy. The Service is available via subscription.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Stages, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

Stages is currently operating as a private, invite-only beta. Access is granted at the sole discretion of Stages and requires admin approval via the waitlist at /join. During the beta period:

• Features, pricing, and functionality may change without notice.
• These Terms may be updated; the effective date will reflect any material changes.
• Beta access may be revoked at any time at our discretion, including for violation of Sections 11 or 12.

Non-public features, unreleased functionality, performance characteristics, roadmap information, and any materials identified as confidential that you access through beta participation are the confidential information of Stages. You agree not to disclose such confidential information to any third party, and not to use it for any purpose other than your own use of the Service, during the beta period and for three years afterward.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@stages.fyi if you suspect unauthorized access.

Stages offers a Pro subscription billed monthly or annually. The current pricing is $197 per month or $1,997 per year (a $367 saving versus paying monthly). There is no free tier; all access is subscription-based or admin-granted. See /pricing for current pricing.

Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing period. As of the current effective date, the active payment provider is being finalized (a payment processor integration is pending). We may update or change payment providers; material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date.

You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain access until that date.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law. Contact us at info@stages.fyi with any billing questions.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to Stages, including profile information, testimonials, media, and pitches (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and warrant that it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any applicable laws.

Stages includes an AI submission agent that prepares draft pitches on your behalf and queues them for your review. The following terms govern your use of this feature:

• Human-in-the-loop approval required. No submission is sent on your behalf without your explicit approval through the in-app batch approval queue. You retain full authority over which pitches are submitted.
• Automated browser submission. Once you approve a pitch, an automated browser agent (currently via Browserbase) submits the pitch to the target CFP platform on your behalf. Target CFP platforms may detect automated submissions and may ban or restrict your account on those platforms. By approving a pitch, you accept this risk.
• Your authored content. Approved pitches submitted through Stages are considered your authored content. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness, and appropriateness of any pitch you approve.
• No model training. Stages does not use your individual pitch content or speaker profile data to train AI models without your consent.

Stages enables speakers to collect audience feedback about their performances via tokenized links and QR codes. By using this feature:

• Audience members who submit feedback retain ownership of their responses and grant Stages a license to display and aggregate that feedback on the platform.
• Feedback is associated with a specific engagement record and is visible to the speaker and, in summary form, to organizers who have booked that speaker.
• Speakers may dispute feedback they believe to be inaccurate or abusive through the in-app dispute process. Contact us at info@stages.fyi for assistance with dispute resolution.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or use any automated means to extract data from the Service, including speaker profiles, opportunity listings, evidence data, scores, reviews, or positioning content, without our express written permission
• Access or use the Service to build, develop, or assist in developing a product or service that competes with the Service, or to monitor its features, functionality, performance, or availability for competitive or benchmarking purposes
• Introduce malicious code or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Spam other users or post misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent content
• Submit pitches containing false or misleading information about your credentials, experience, or expertise

All intellectual property in the Service, including the platform, design, code, logos, and educational content, belongs to Stages or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service as intended.

Your license to access the Service is expressly conditioned on compliance with this Section 12 and Section 11. You may not copy, in whole or in part, the Service’s features, workflows, user interface, scoring or matching methodologies, or data structures. If you are, become, or act on behalf of a competitor of the Service, you may not access the Service without our prior written consent.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying algorithms, models, prompts, scoring methodologies, or non-public architecture of the Service, and you may not create derivative works based on the Service or any part of it. The Service’s evidence synthesis, matching, and positioning methodologies constitute trade secrets of Stages.

The Service integrates with third-party services including Clerk (authentication), Supabase (data storage), Browserbase (automated submission), Anthropic (AI), and a payment processor (pending), among others. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAGES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stages, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 8, 12, 14, 15, and 16 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orlando, Florida.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
